Test, Don’t Guess
Having conducted over 1.3 million Balance Tests worldwide, Zinzino are very well placed to say around 95% of the population are out of balance. This is a precursor to cellular inflammation and all of the ramifications that come with that. So how do you know whether you are in the 5% category? That’s simple, take the test. See how here.
The Importance of Omega 6:3 Balance
Following on from the above we published an article on the importance of cellular balance just over a year ago which you can read here.
Multivitamin and Ageing
by Muhdo Health
The medical community have had a mixed opinion on this with some recommending multivitamins and other stating that all you will get from taking one is expensive looking urine. There is also a whole array of new and exciting Longevity supplements on the market, which all claim to improve our health and/or help reduce the rate to which we age. But unfortunately, like with any conventional vitamin supplement how will we know if they are actually working and having the desired effect. And is it realistic to think that we can slow the sands of time and the ageing process by taking a specific nutrient or supplement each day. As in reality, a multitude of aspects such as diet, stress, exercise, sleep and environment will affect the rate to which we age.
Muhdo Health have actually found in our 7 years of research is that taking a multivitamin almost certainly improves biological age, although we can’t say whether it is the combination of a product or a particular element just yet.
Average chronological age: 38.42
Average biological age: 34.21
Differential: reverse ageing - 4.2 years
There is also a minor acceleration in years in those who did not take multivitamins on average +2 years. Through novel correlations we look at gene variant effects in people and measure methylation metrics over time, which can alter pathology outcomes. Real world health and fitness information is then analysed from the effects of supplements, vitamins, exercise, and pollution on our gene methylation status. Magic Bullets vs the Smart Bomb
by Dr Paul Clayton
Earlier posts have mapped the rise and rise in the numbers of people developing one (and usually more than one) of the non-communicable chronic degenerative diseases, especially but not exclusively in the higher-income countries (1). These multiple negative trends are clearly driven by our profoundly unhealthy diet and lifestyle. For the sake of balance, it is worth pointing out that the numbers of patients contracting and dying of infection are also increasing (ie 2) – and here too, our exposome is implicated. The increasing prevalence of malnutrition (3), which dysregulates and degrades our immune systems (4), feeds into this. But so does the growth of antibiotic and antifungal resistance, driven by drug overuse, misuse and counterfeiting (5), and given a recent fillip by governments’ profoundly destructive responses to Covid (6). High stress really does make younger people feel and look older
by StudyFinds
RALEIGH, N.C. — Certain days feel more like weeks, especially when unexpected issues occur, and bad luck keeps tripping you up. Now, new research actually suggests there’s truth in the saying that some days end up aging people far more than others. Scientists at North Carolina State University say younger adults really can look and feel older on especially stressful days, but only on days when they also feel less in control over their own lives.
