The idea of trusting the Government is a controversial one and for good reason. History has shown that Governments can be corrupt, oppressive and often prioritize their own interests over those of their citizens. The actions of many Governments around the World both past and present, have demonstrated that trusting them blindly is a mistake that can lead to dire consequences. Take the last 3 years.
Over recent months we have shared various Studies that show:
Lockdowns don’t work;
Masks don’t work;
Use of the PCR was fraudulent;
6 feet apart was just a catchphrase.
Then add onto that the billions upon billions of taxpayer money wasted on vanity projects such as Track & Trace which was doomed from the start.
I haven’t even touched upon the Covid jab issue which I will address as part of a separate series as it is such a vast topic to cover.
Where is the evidence these measures were implemented for the Public good?
One of the primary reasons why individuals should be sceptical of the Government is because it is an entity that operates with immense power and authority. This authority can be used for the benefit of the People but it can also be used to oppress and control them. In many cases Governments have used their power to limit the freedoms and rights of their citizens, using violence, propaganda and censorship to maintain their grip on power.
Let’s take a closer look at these 3 areas since 2020.
VIOLENCE
The heavy-handed approach used by the Police during peaceful demonstrations when the People took issue with some of the Governments early Covid proposals and actions. Trumped-up charges which were later dismissed by the Courts due to their absurdity. Not the actions of a true democratic society but those of a nation-state lurching towards authoritarianism.
PROPAGANDA
The primary source of mis / dis / mal-information is the Government itself as they try to maintain their control. However, their lies are slowly being exposed as their influence over mainstream media - print and broadcast - and the social media platforms comes to light. The Hancock whatsapp messages only confirm what a lot of us always suspected but couldn’t prove - until now.
CENSORSHIP
Highly qualified Doctors, Scientists, Epidemiologists et al were sidelined and silenced because they had the temerity to go against the narrative. The Great Barrington Declaration was a case in point. 34,000+ Scientists signed onto to this and with the passage of time their suggested approach would have produced far more favourable outcomes to those we actually saw. We only have to look at the Twitter Files to see the level of Government-led censorship.
Wait until the Fauci-files drop!
Now consider the censorship surrounding early Covid intervention protocols pioneered by many including the late Dr Zelenko who re-purposed existing drugs such as Ivermectin and HCQ to name but two and saved countless lives. Both drugs were demonized by Governments, Big Pharma, CDC, FDA, WHO and to their discredit, The Lancet who surrendered their reputation to Big Pharma.
The nine most terrifying words in the English language are:

Another reason to be cautious of Big Government is that it is often susceptible to corruption. When individuals with power and authority are given the ability to make decisions that impact the lives of millions of people, it is not uncommon for them to be tempted by the possibility of personal gain (think: shares in Big Pharma, PPE Suppliers etc). Whether it is through bribery, nepotism or cronyism (think: Supply Contracts for mates/themselves) corruption can have a significant impact on the way Government operates and the decisions it makes.
Furthermore, Governments are often subject to internal and external pressures that can impact their decision making. Internal such as lobbying from special interest groups, political dynamics or personal biases and external such as international relations or global economic pressures can all influence Government decisions. When citizens blindly trust their Government, they may not fully understand the context and factors that influence the decisions made and run the risk of allowing corruption to go unchecked.

So how can we counter all of this?
Very much like taking back control of our health we need to take back control of our thought processes. We also need to become more active in our local Communities and to apply critical thinking to any utterances from the Government. Does their proposal or measure make sense? Intuitively, does it feel right? If it doesn’t then it probably isn’t.
We as a People have been too willing to let others make decisions on our behalf without question. When a minority do raise questions the majority have been too easily persuaded to dismiss them as Conspiracy Theorists which in itself is part of the Government propaganda playbook to avoid scrutiny.
Stop watching TV News as these have largely become Government propaganda outlets. Alternative News sources does not equate to inferior news. Think of all the demonstrations that have and are taking place across Europe right now. Have you seen them reported on the mainstream news? What about coverage of the Twitter Files?
Apply critical thinking to what the Government says.
Do your own research. When the Government came out with its glib catchphrase of Trust the Science did they actually produce any to support their measures?
Be prepared to stand away from the crowd because “The truth is still the truth even if no one believes it and a lie is still a lie even if everyone believes it!”
An example of (4) is all of the nonsense surrounding Ukraine. There is so much I could share with you about this and I may well do so in a future piece.
For my part I follow the simple rule of DTO (Do the Opposite) of whatever the Government says and I have found that has stood me in very good stead over the past 60-odd years!
Collectively, we have to wrestle back control from those who are drunk on power to safeguard our freedoms both now and for future generations!
